Explore Essex Event Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all bookings made with Explore Essex, Essex County Council, County Hall, Market Road. Chelmsford, CM1 1QH for events booked at all sites contained within the Explore Essex service.

Confirmation of event bookings

We will send you a confirmation of your booking by e-mail. Please check the details in this e-mail to make sure they are correct. If you find a mistake in your booking confirmation, you must let the events team know as soon as possible by emailing events.exploreessex@essex.gov.uk.

Parking at Events

If parking is available on Explore Essex sites, any vehicle and its contents is left at the owner’s risk. Parking costs apply at some sites. Please check parking arrangements on your booking confirmation prior to departure to the event.

Cancellation

Tickets are non-refundable.

Smoking

There is a no smoking policy which does not permit smoking anywhere within any building.

Damage, loss or injury

Explore Essex will not accept any responsibility for injury to persons or loss/damage to property whilst on Explore Essex property other than when injury or damage/loss can be attributed to negligence on the part of Explore Essex staff, servants or agents.

Whilst every effort will be made to ensure the provision of the facilities detailed Explore Essex cannot be held responsible for shortcomings or conditions which may affect the event and which are outside its control such as weather, acts of terrorism, fire, flood etc.

Nothing above shall confer on any third party any benefit or the right to enforce any of these terms and conditions. These terms and conditions shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

The purchase/possession of your ticket shall constitute an acceptance by the holder of these terms and conditions and imply an undertaking on the part of the holder to observe them. In the event of any breach of these terms and conditions the organisers reserve the right to cancel your ticket and retain any monies paid therefore.
