Cressing Temple Barns: One Day Egg Basket workshop with Jo Hammond
Join Jo Hammond for this workshop where you'll weave a small traditional basket, complete with handle, it's ideal for collecting eggs or fruit.

This project is a great introduction to basketmaking; working step by step you’ll learn how to select the right materials, how to weave the base and sides, shape the handle and weave a border. This design beautifully displays natural willow colours and textures.
New for 2025, make your basket extra special with the lovely colours and textures of Cressing Temple’s home grown willow.
Please note: Willow weaving is moderately hard work and does require a firm grip.
The ticket price includes all materials and any necessary tools will be provided (although you may wish to bring your own pair of sharp secateurs). This workshop is only suitable for those over 18-years-old.
