Elevator Arts and Kool Karers present ‘Hidden Voices’
Hidden Voices is a touching and joyful celebration of the experience of young carers in Basildon.
Hidden Voices is a creative project in partnership with Elevator Arts and Kool Carers, working with young people ages 12 to 15-years-old to amplify the voices of young carers and improve their mental health and wellbeing.
Young people worked with artists George Morgan and Laurence Harding exploring creative writing, digital and analogue photography and the camera-less technique of cyanotype.
Participants have created striking and poignant images with text and spoken word to create personal portraits of their lives, sharing their often hidden stories.
Supported by the Essex County Council Arts and Cultural Fund.
