Dive below the earth to explore the geology that underpins Essex and explore how it was formed over millions of years.
Join speakers Ros and Ian Mercer and prepare to be amazed at the geological story of the county starting around 250 million years ago when Essex was just one small part of a large desert in a massive continent. By 450,000 years ago Essex was then covered by ice.
With an accompanying display of rocks, geologists Ros and Ian Mercer will explain the complicated and incredibly ancient history of the county.
