Maldon Festival
The Maldon Festival brings art and music events to audiences from across Essex and runs for a fortnight at the end of June and beginning of July, with concerts and events staged in and around the town.
The 2023 programme for the Maldon Festival covers 20 concerts, recitals, shows and workshops.
This includes one Children’s Come and Sing, two choral events, three candlelight concerts, four recitals, five ‘festival favourite’ performances and six young musician’s showcases, not to mention the junior masterclasses and ‘meet the musicians’ sessions.
The performances embrace a wide variety of musical styles, covering everything from jazz to classical and concerts featuring strings, brass and choral works.
This year the festival has adopted the theme of Coronation celebrations. It will feature contemporary artwork and historic music that has been used to celebrate past coronations, some of which we heard again in Westminster Cathedral this May.
Supported by the Essex County Council Arts and Cultural Fund.
