The Lock Climbing Wall: Give it a go sessions (Adults)
If you want to see what all the fuss is about and want to try climbing for the first time, then this is the course for you. No experience required, just a desire to give it a go!
The experienced instructors at The Lock will guide you, ensuring you have a safe and enjoyable first session.
The instructors will teach you the basics of climbing and belaying. From fitting harnesses and helmets, connecting to the rope through to the mysteries of belaying a climber safely up (and down again) The Wall. It’s all covered here.
The session is aimed as an introduction and routes are carefully selected to ensure the best possible introduction to the sport of climbing.
The session is 90 minutes and takes place monthly on a Thursday evening.
Sessions start at 7.00pm and finish at 8.30pm.
There is small coffee shop on-site for light snacks and drinks.
Parking is limited at the wall but there’s room at the Moorhen Pub and Marina, just 20 seconds walk away.
