*SOLD OUT* Willow Hare Sculpture with Jo Hammond
Learn to weave supple willow twigs into a charming seated hare sculpture, lovely to display in the garden or house.
This event is run by the Friends of Cressing Temple, and is a great opportunity to work with one of East Anglia’s best willow workers, Jo Hammond.
On this full day workshop, which will take place at Cressing Temple Barns, Jo will introduce you to willow sculpture and the use of freeweave.
You will learn how to create a framework, how to cover and shape the frame with freeweave, and how to build the head, legs and finally beautiful big ears, bringing your sculpture to life.
You will complete a life size (or larger) hare sculpture which will make a beautiful addition to your own garden.
Tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided.
Please bring a packed lunch or visit the on-site Tiptree Tearoom. All materials and any necessary tools will be provided.
*This workshop is only suitable for over those aged over 18. Willow weaving is moderately hard work, and requires a firm grip.
