*Sold Out* Willow Workshop at Cressing Temple Barns
Join a one day basket course with Jo Hammond.
Join Jo Hammond and make your own willow basket which is ideal for picking nuts, mushrooms and berries, or collecting eggs. This project is a great introduction to willow basketmaking.
This is a great opportunity to work with one of East Anglia’s best willow workers. This full day course, which is suitable for beginners, will take place at Cressing Temple near Braintree.
Beginning with two hoops, your basket will gradually take shape as you add a decorative willow tie, ribs and then weaving. You’ll learn how to split willow, to shape the ribs, and some simple weaving techniques.
Tea/coffee and biscuits will be provided. The ticket price includes all materials and any necessary tools will be provided (although you may wish to bring your own pair of sharp secateurs). This workshop is only suitable for over-18s.
